We live in a very complex world. I have seen people saying and preaching their children that always be just, pious and avoid nepotism, but I have wondered whether we all have the moral authority to preach others to stop corruption.
My elder brother (who is a CA finalist and is working in a chartered accountancy firm known as BDO) says that , in order to get into a "BIG 4" firm, he tried to reach out to men on high places, yet he failed because today's market is tight. According to him, no one except the one with an excellent record or a person with great links, can get admitted to a "BIG 4" firm.
IN case, if you were wondering, BDO is the world's fifth. We download movies, music, etc. from the Internet illegally i.e. pirated, and play pirated games.
Yes, I also play pirated games and watch pirated movies, and I feel guilty. But most people in a third world country like Pakistan cannot afford to pay $50 for a video game (over here, it is about PKR 5000), but in today's world, we can't live without these gadgets and PCs. Thus, I don't have the moral authority to impress upon anyone to stop piracy. Moreover, I believe that hardly any of us has the authority to stop anyone from this crime.
Hell! Today's world is harder than the one before.
